Pause & Reflect
“Strength and dignity are her clothing.” What a beautiful description. Strength and dignity are not accessories she occasionally puts on for public appearances. They clothe her. Biblical strength is not hardness. Dignity is not pride. A strong woman can still be gentle. A dignified woman can still be humble. Strength enables her to face responsibility without collapsing under every pressure. Dignity reminds her that she does not have to degrade herself for attention, affection or opportunity. Some women have been taught that godliness means becoming smaller, quieter and less capable. Scripture gives us a richer picture. A godly woman can possess strength. Competence. Courage. Wisdom. Presence. The question is whether that strength remains submitted to God and used faithfully.
Declare It Today
“I can walk in strength and dignity without pride. Godly womanhood does not require weakness; my strength belongs under the lordship of Christ.”
Let's Pray
Father, develop strength and dignity in me. Heal insecurity that makes me shrink unnecessarily and pride that makes me depend upon myself. Let my confidence be grounded in You. Amen.
