Pause & Reflect
“Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate.” Purpose is not always about building something. Sometimes it means speaking. There are moments when silence protects comfort rather than righteousness. Someone is being mistreated. A vulnerable person is being ignored. An unethical decision is being normalised. A child needs protection. A colleague has no power in the room. Courageous speech requires wisdom. Not every disagreement requires public confrontation. Not every social-media controversy requires your opinion. But neither should fear make silence our permanent strategy. Ask: Is this true? Is someone vulnerable? Am I in a position to help? What form of speaking would genuinely serve justice? Then act wisely.
Declare It Today
“I will not use comfort as an excuse for silence when truth, justice or protection genuinely requires my voice.”
Let's Pray
Father, give me discernment to know when to speak and courage to speak wisely. Protect me from both cowardice and careless confrontation. Amen.
