Christian mentoring is more than transferring information. It is helping another person learn to follow Jesus in actual life. Sometimes what younger believers need is not another impressive speaker. They need someone accessible. Someone who can say: “Here is what I learned.” “Here is where I failed.” “Here is what Scripture says.” “Let us pray.” Discipleship happens through teaching and example. That means our lives eventually become part of the lesson. Not because we are perfect. But because people need to see what repentance, perseverance, marriage, singleness, parenting, work, generosity and faith look like in real people. Your scars may become somebody else's wisdom.
