Pause & Reflect
Hagar encountered God in a wilderness she had not expected to enter. She was vulnerable, distressed and running from a painful situation. Yet in that wilderness, she discovered something extraordinary: God saw her. She called Him the God who sees me. There may be seasons when you feel unseen. Your sacrifices may go unnoticed. People may misunderstand what you carry. You may faithfully serve while receiving little recognition. You may even wonder whether God has noticed your tears. Hagar's story reminds us that human visibility and divine visibility are not the same thing. God sees beyond the version of you presented to everyone else. He knows the prayers you have struggled to articulate, the responsibilities you quietly carry, the questions you haven't answered and the places where your heart hurts. Being seen by God doesn't mean every difficult circumstance immediately disappears. Hagar still had a complicated road ahead. But she no longer walked it believing she was invisible. Neither do you.
Declare It Today
“God sees me. I am never invisible to Him. He knows where I am, what I carry and what I need. I will rest in the assurance that His eyes are upon me and His presence accompanies me.”
Let's Pray
God who sees me, thank You that nothing about my life is hidden from You. When I feel overlooked or misunderstood, remind me that You know me completely. Meet me in the places that feel like wilderness and help me trust Your presence and care. In Jesus' name, amen.
