Pause & Reflect
We began this journey with an invitation: Know God. Three hundred and sixty-five days later, we arrive where every Christian journey should ultimately arrive: Back at God. Paul writes: “For of him, and through him, and to him are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen.” From Him Before you sought God, He was God. Before you discovered purpose, He had purpose. Before you learned to love, He loved. Before you began changing, grace had already moved toward you. Everything begins with Him. Through Him Every genuine transformation in this year has been grace. The truth that corrected you. The mercy that restored you. The strength that carried you. The Holy Spirit who helped you. The cross that saved you. The resurrection that gave you hope. The gifts you developed. The fruit that grew. The doors that opened. The doors that mercifully closed. Through Him. To Him And now everything returns to God. Your calling. Home. Marriage or singleness. Children or spiritual children. Business. Career. Ministry. Finances. Gifts. Influence. Future. Legacy. The goal was never to complete 365 devotionals and become impressed with yourself. The goal was to become increasingly captivated by Him. The woman God is forming is not independent from God. She is increasingly dependent upon Him. She knows Him more deeply. Loves Jesus more sincerely. Walks with the Holy Spirit more attentively. Trusts more faithfully. Repents more quickly. Loves people more deeply. Stewards more wisely. Gives more freely. Serves more humbly. And finishes with her eyes still fixed upon Christ. Tomorrow there will be no Day 366 in this devotional journey. But there will be another morning with God. Another Scripture to read. Another prayer to pray. Another opportunity to obey. Another person to love. Another place to trust. Another reason to worship. So the end of this book is not the end of discipleship. It is another beginning. And after everything we have studied, prayed, declared and learned, one confession remains above every other: God is the Hero.
Declare It Today
“My life belongs to God. Everything good in me is the fruit of His grace. Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord. The Holy Spirit is my Helper. The Father is my God. I surrender my relationships, calling, resources, gifts, future and legacy to Him. May my life increasingly point away from self and toward Christ. For from Him, through Him and to Him are all things. To God be the glory forever. Amen.”
Let's Pray
Father, Thank You for this journey. Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for Jesus Christ. Thank You for the Holy Spirit. Thank You for grace that found me, mercy that restored me, truth that corrected me and love that held me. Everything I have learned, I return to You as worship. Continue what You have begun in me. Make me a woman who knows You deeply, loves You wholeheartedly and walks faithfully with You. Let my home glorify You. Let my relationships glorify You. Let my work glorify You. Let my resources glorify You. Let my gifts glorify You. Let my words glorify You. Let my private life glorify You. Let my public life glorify You. Let my remaining years glorify You. And when my earthly race is complete, may the testimony of my life never ultimately be: “Look what she accomplished.” May it be: “Look what God did.” For from You, through You and to You are all things. To You be glory forever. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
