When God Answers Differently

Day 340

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

2 Corinthians 12:7–10

Read Scripture in Context →

Pause & Reflect

Paul asked repeatedly for his thorn to be removed. God answered differently than Paul wanted: “My grace is sufficient for you.” This is an important corrective to the idea that enough faith guarantees every requested outcome. Paul had faith. Paul prayed. God did not remove the burden. Instead, He supplied grace. Sometimes faith receives deliverance. Sometimes faith receives strength to continue. An unanswered prayer is not automatic proof that you prayed badly, lacked faith or were rejected by God. There are mysteries we may not understand in this life. When the answer you want has not come, ask also: “Lord, how will Your grace meet me here?”

Declare It Today

“God’s grace is sufficient even when His answer differs from my request. I will continue praying while trusting His wisdom concerning the outcome.”

Let's Pray

Father, You know the answers I deeply desire. I ask boldly, but I also surrender. Where the burden remains, let Your grace become unmistakably sufficient. Amen.
