Pause & Reflect
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God.” What a practical promise. God does not shame us for admitting: “I do not know what to do.” Wisdom is especially necessary when the Bible does not give a direct command concerning a specific decision. Two jobs. Two schools. A business opportunity. A difficult relationship. A parenting decision. A ministry direction. Ask God. Then remain attentive to the ways wisdom often comes: Scripture. Prayer. Mature counsel. Facts. Experience. Providence. Time. Sometimes we ask God for wisdom but resist the answer because wisdom does not favour the option we already wanted. So ask with an open heart.
Declare It Today
“I do not need to pretend I know everything. God gives wisdom generously, and I will seek His direction with humility and willingness to obey.”
Let's Pray
Father, I need Your wisdom. Give me clarity in the decisions before me and humility to receive guidance even when it challenges my preference. Amen.
