Commit Your Plans to God

Day 294

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

Proverbs 16:1–3, 9

Pause & Reflect

“Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed.” Planning is not the opposite of faith. Scripture contains both careful planning and deep dependence upon God. The problem begins when our plans become declarations of independence. We decide what must happen, when it must happen and how God should make it happen. Proverbs gives us a better posture: Plan diligently. Commit completely. You can research. Budget. Set goals. Build timelines. Seek counsel. Prepare thoroughly. And still say: “Lord, You have permission to redirect me.” Sometimes God establishes the plan. Sometimes He changes it. Sometimes He closes the door you were certain would open. A surrendered plan is not an unimportant plan. It is a plan that acknowledges God sees what you cannot.

Declare It Today

“I will plan wisely without attempting to control the future. I commit my plans to God and remain willing for Him to establish, change or redirect them.”

Let's Pray

Father, give me wisdom to plan well and humility to remain surrendered. Close doors that would take me outside Your wisdom, and establish what genuinely serves Your purposes. Amen.
