Pause & Reflect
Paul compares the church to a body. One body. Many parts. Different functions. The eye does not need to become a hand to matter. The foot does not become unnecessary because it is not a hand. Comparison becomes destructive when we assume significance requires sameness. God does not need every woman doing the same thing. Some teach. Some organise. Some lead. Some give. Some encourage. Some create. Some serve quietly. Some pray faithfully behind the scenes. And no genuine gift gives one believer permission to despise another. Your responsibility is not to become somebody else's part. It is to discover how God has equipped you and serve faithfully alongside others.
Declare It Today
“I have a God-given place within the body of Christ. I will honour the gifts of others without despising or exaggerating my own.”
Let's Pray
Father, show me how I can serve Your body faithfully. Free me from comparison and teach me to value contributions that look different from mine. Amen.
