Pause & Reflect
Paul tells us: “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.” Faith grows where truth is heard and received. If your mind is constantly filled with fear, comparison, outrage, pressure and self-doubt, those voices will shape the way you see God and your circumstances. Scripture interrupts those voices with truth. It reminds you who God is. What Christ has done. What God has promised. What obedience looks like. Faith is not strengthened merely by repeating encouraging phrases to yourself. It is strengthened by exposure to God's Word. This is why Scripture needs to become more than emergency medicine. It should become daily nourishment. The more deeply God's Word settles into you, the more truth becomes available when circumstances challenge your trust. Feed your faith deliberately.
Declare It Today
“I will strengthen my faith by listening to God's Word. I choose to give Scripture greater authority than the fearful or distracting voices around me.”
Let's Pray
Lord, deepen my hunger for Your Word. Help me recognise what is shaping my thinking and let Scripture become the strongest voice in my life. Amen.
