Generosity Is Measured Differently in Heaven

Jesus watched people give. Many wealthy people contributed large amounts. Then a widow gave two small coins. Jesus noticed her. He evaluated generosity differently from the crowd. He saw proportion. Sacrifice. Heart. This passage should never be used to manipulate vulnerable people into giving away necessities to prove their faith. Instead, it reminds us that heaven does not rank generosity merely by numerical amount. A small gift can represent profound generosity. God sees what giving costs.
