God Has Not Forgotten You

Day 232

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

Luke 1:5–25

Read Scripture in Context →

Pause & Reflect

Luke describes Elizabeth and Zechariah as righteous before God. Then he tells us they had no child. That combination matters. Their unanswered longing was not evidence that they had failed God. Sometimes we quietly assume: “If I were more faithful, perhaps this would have happened by now.” Elizabeth's story challenges that equation. Faithful people can experience long disappointment. Eventually God intervened extraordinarily in her particular story, and John the Baptist was born. But the deeper lesson is not that every long wait will end with the exact outcome we desire. It is that delay is not reliable evidence of divine rejection. Your unanswered question does not automatically tell you what God thinks of you. Keep walking faithfully.

Declare It Today

“Delay does not mean God has forgotten me. I refuse to measure His love by the speed with which my circumstances change.”

Let's Pray

Father, strengthen me where waiting has become exhausting. Protect me from interpreting delay as rejection and help me remain faithful while entrusting the outcome to You. Amen.
