Pause & Reflect
Near the end of his life, Paul could say: “I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith.” That is a powerful definition of success. Not: Everyone knew my name. Not: Everything I attempted became large. Not: Life unfolded exactly according to plan. But: I kept the faith. Christian faithfulness is measured across a lifetime. There will be seasons of extraordinary fruit and seasons of hidden obedience. Seasons of strength and seasons when continuing itself feels costly. The goal is not simply to begin enthusiastically. It is to finish faithfully. One day, all the temporary measures of success will disappear. What will matter is whether we belonged to Christ and faithfully ran the race He gave us. So don't spend your life trying to win someone else's race. Run yours. And keep the faith.
Declare It Today
“By God's grace, I will fight the good fight, run the race entrusted to me and keep the faith. My deepest measure of success is faithfulness to Christ.”
Let's Pray
Lord Jesus, keep me faithful for the whole journey. Protect me from distraction, comparison and spiritual complacency. When I grow tired, strengthen me. May I one day finish the race still loving, trusting and following You. Amen.
