Pause & Reflect
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” Christianity is not merely an improved version of your old life. In Christ, something fundamentally new has begun. Your history is real. Your mistakes have consequences. Your personality does not disappear. And transformation is not always instantaneous. But your past no longer possesses the authority to define your ultimate identity. You are in Christ. Sometimes we continue introducing ourselves internally by names God has not given us: Failure. Rejected. Unworthy. Damaged. Hopeless. Your experiences may explain parts of your story, but they do not have the right to overrule what God says about those who belong to Christ. Sanctification begins from this new identity. We are not trying to transform ourselves into people God might eventually accept. Because we belong to Christ, we are learning to live according to the new life He has given.
Declare It Today
“I am a new creation in Christ. My past is part of my story, but it does not have final authority over my identity. I will learn to live according to the new life God has given me.”
Let's Pray
Father, thank You for making me new in Christ. Show me the old labels and patterns I continue carrying. Teach me to see myself through Your truth and to live increasingly from my identity in Jesus. Amen.
