Pause & Reflect
Jesus promised His disciples another Helper who would remain with them. The Spirit of truth would not merely work around them. Jesus said: “He lives with you, and will be in you.” The Holy Spirit is personal. He teaches. Guides. Speaks. Helps. Intercedes. Glorifies Christ. And because He is personal, our response to Him cannot be reduced to chasing spiritual sensations. Knowing the Holy Spirit means growing in awareness of God's presence, submitting to His work and learning to walk according to Scripture. It also means remembering the Spirit's central purpose is not to make us fascinated with ourselves. Jesus said the Spirit would glorify Him. A genuinely Spirit-centred life therefore becomes increasingly Christ-centred. The more deeply the Spirit works in us, the more precious Jesus becomes.
Declare It Today
“The Holy Spirit is my divine Helper, not an impersonal force. I welcome His work in my life and desire to know Christ more deeply through His ministry.”
Let's Pray
Holy Spirit, help me know You according to Scripture rather than merely according to experience. Draw my attention to Jesus, teach me truth and form in me a life that honours God. Amen.
