Pause & Reflect
God repeatedly told Joshua: “Be strong and courageous.” Leadership requires courage because responsibility means making decisions when outcomes are not guaranteed. But God did not tell Joshua merely to become brave. His courage was anchored in two realities: God's presence. And: God's Word. Biblical courage is not recklessness. It is not refusing advice. It is not pretending uncertainty does not exist. It is the willingness to obey after prayer, wisdom and discernment have made the direction clear. Some decisions will disappoint people. Some assignments will stretch you. Leadership cannot be governed entirely by fear of criticism. Stay close to God's Word. Seek wise counsel. Then have courage to move.
Declare It Today
“I will lead with courage rooted in God's presence and shaped by His Word. Fear of people will not become the final authority over my obedience.”
Let's Pray
Father, give me wisdom before decisions and courage after direction becomes clear. Keep me from both cowardice and reckless confidence. Amen.
