Pause & Reflect
A widow came to Elisha in financial crisis. Her husband had died. A creditor threatened to take her sons. Elisha asked: “What do you have in the house?” Her answer seemed unimpressive: A jar of oil. Then came practical instructions. Borrow containers. Not a few. Go inside. Pour. The oil multiplied as she obeyed. And notice what happened next. She sold the oil. Paid the debt. Then lived on what remained. The miracle involved both divine provision and practical stewardship. God's intervention did not eliminate wise action. There was gathering. Pouring. Selling. Debt repayment. Management. Sometimes we ask for provision while overlooking resources, skills or opportunities already present. Bring the need to God. Then listen for the practical next step.
Declare It Today
“God is my provider, and I will also practise wise stewardship. I will pay attention to what is already in my hands and obey the practical steps He places before me.”
Let's Pray
Father, provide for my needs according to Your wisdom. Open my eyes to resources and opportunities I may have overlooked and give me discipline to manage provision faithfully. Amen.
