Pause & Reflect
Paul tells believers to bring everything to God through prayer, petition and thanksgiving. Then he promises that God's peace will guard hearts and minds in Christ. Notice that prayer is not denial. You name the concern. Bring the request. And join it with thanksgiving. Anxiety tries to keep rehearsing the future as though repetition will create control. Prayer takes those same concerns and deliberately places them before God. Sometimes you may need to do this repeatedly. That is not failed faith. It is dependence. Each time the concern returns, return it to God. Prayer may not immediately change the circumstance. But God can guard the heart while the situation remains unresolved.
Declare It Today
“I will bring my anxieties to God instead of carrying them alone. Through prayer and thanksgiving, I entrust my concerns to Him and receive His guarding peace.”
Let's Pray
Father, here are the things weighing upon my mind today. I place them before You. Give me wisdom for what I can act upon and peace concerning what I must entrust to You. Amen.
