Practise Hospitality

Paul tells believers to practise hospitality. Hospitality is larger than entertaining. Entertainment can become about impressing people. Hospitality is about welcoming them. A perfect house is not required. Expensive food is not required. Hospitality can happen over tea. A simple meal. A conversation. A spare chair. A listening ear. It says: “There is room for you here.” In an increasingly isolated world, making room for people can become a powerful ministry. Hospitality also needs wisdom. Boundaries matter. Capacity matters. Not everyone needs unrestricted access to your home or life. But within healthy limits, Christians should be people who know how to welcome.
