Pray for Your Children

Day 248

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

1 Samuel 1:27–28

Read Scripture in Context →

Pause & Reflect

Hannah prayed for Samuel before he was born. Then she continued surrendering him to God after receiving the answer. Parents quickly discover there are places they cannot follow their children. Classrooms. Friendships. Private thoughts. Future relationships. Adult decisions. But prayer can go where parental control cannot. Pray specifically. For salvation. Wisdom. Character. Friendships. Protection. Purpose. Courage. Purity. Compassion. Discernment. Their future families. Their relationship with God. But prayer should not become spiritualised control: “God, make them fulfil my plan.” Better: “Father, make them Yours.”

Declare It Today

“I will pray faithfully for the children God has placed on my heart while surrendering their lives and futures to Him.”

Let's Pray

Father, draw my children and the young people I love deeply to Yourself. Give them wisdom, protect them from evil, form Christ in them and lead them into the purposes You have for their lives. Amen.
