Pause & Reflect
Paul writes: “If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.” Every phrase matters. If it is possible. As much as it depends on you. Scripture recognises that reconciliation cannot always be accomplished by one person. You can apologise. Forgive. Speak truth. Change your behaviour. Invite conversation. But you cannot force another person to repent, communicate honestly or rebuild trust. Peace is not pretending nothing happened. Reconciliation may require truth. Time. Changed behaviour. Restored trust. And sometimes appropriate distance. Your responsibility is faithfulness on your side. Do what genuinely depends upon you. Then release what does not.
Declare It Today
“I will pursue peace without pretending. I will take responsibility for my part, forgive as God leads me and refuse to carry responsibility for another person's choices.”
Let's Pray
Father, make me a peacemaker. Show me where I need to apologise, forgive, speak or change. Give me wisdom to recognise what is mine to do and grace to release what is not. Amen. Movement 10 progress Days 274–288 complete. This gives the master journey dedicated teaching on: Christ-centred home → generational faith → parenting as stewardship → grace and discipline → praying for children → adult children → caregiver rest → marriage → biblical love → singleness → friendship → accountability → boundaries → communication → conflict and peace. Next: Days 289–303 The second half should deepen relationships rather than repeat them: forgiveness • rebuilding trust • difficult family relationships • honouring parents as an adult • caring for ageing parents • blended/extended families • in-laws • loneliness • choosing friends wisely • comparison between women • jealousy • betrayal • reconciliation • spiritual family • building a household of faith. That will take us to 303 of 365, leaving 62 days for the final movements on purpose, giving/stewardship, justification, sanctification/glorification, perseverance, eternity and legacy. Movement 10 — Home, Parenting & Relationships Master Devotionals: Days 289–303 We now complete this movement by going into the harder realities of relationships: forgiveness, trust, difficult families, ageing parents, loneliness, friendship, comparison, betrayal and reconciliation.
