Pause & Reflect
Moses warned Israel about prosperity. After houses, food and wealth increased, they might say: “My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth.” Prosperity can quietly produce forgetfulness. We work. Study. Build. Take risks. Develop expertise. Those things matter. But beneath them are gifts we did not manufacture: Life. Health. Opportunity. Intelligence. Relationships. Time. God told Israel to remember Him because He gives the power to produce wealth. Success should therefore deepen gratitude rather than independence.
Declare It Today
“I will work diligently without becoming self-congratulatory. Every capacity I possess ultimately depends upon God's provision and grace.”
Let's Pray
Father, keep prosperity from making me forget You. Let every increase produce gratitude, humility and greater faithfulness. Amen.
