Pause & Reflect
Paul gives a remarkable reason for honest work: Work, doing what is good, “that he may have something to give to him who has need.” Work provides for needs. But Scripture also connects earning with generosity. This gives work a Kingdom dimension. We do not work merely to consume more. Honest productivity can create resources that bless others. And the manner of earning matters. Income obtained through deception, exploitation or dishonesty cannot be made righteous merely by giving some of it away. God cares about both how money enters your hands and how it leaves them.

“I will seek honest and productive work and remember that God's provision through me can become provision for others.”
Let's Pray
Father, bless the work of my hands according to Your wisdom. Keep my earning honest and give my resources a purpose larger than personal consumption. Amen.
