Pause & Reflect
Paul tells those with resources not to become arrogant or put their hope in uncertain riches. Instead: “Be rich in good works.” What a beautiful ambition. Not merely rich in possessions. Rich in generosity. Service. Compassion. Investment in people. Resources are uncertain. Markets change. Businesses change. Possessions break. But good done in God’s name has eternal significance. This does not require feeling guilty for every blessing. Paul says God richly provides things for our enjoyment. Enjoy with gratitude. Then hold everything with open hands.
Declare It Today
“My hope is not in wealth. Whatever God gives me will be enjoyed with gratitude and stewarded with generosity, good works and eternal perspective.”
Let's Pray
Father, keep money in its proper place in my heart. Make me rich in good works and generous with what You entrust to me. Amen.
