Pause & Reflect
God instructed His people not to harden their hearts toward the poor, but to open their hands. Poverty can easily become abstract. Statistics. Policies. Debates. Scripture continually brings us back to people. Someone needs food. Housing. Practical help. Opportunity. Advocacy. Generosity should also preserve dignity and wisdom. Not every method of helping produces good outcomes. But complexity cannot become an excuse for indifference. Open your eyes. Open your heart. And where appropriate, open your hand.

Let's Pray
Father, show me needs I can genuinely help address. Give me compassion joined with wisdom and protect my heart from indifference. Amen.
