Pause & Reflect
“Who despises the day of small things?” We often celebrate finished outcomes and overlook beginnings. A small ministry. A new business. One student. One prayer meeting. The first healthy boundary. The first day of a new habit. One page written. One faithful conversation. Small beginnings can feel unimpressive. But God is not dependent upon impressive beginnings. The danger is comparing the seed in your hand with someone else's mature tree. Faith asks: What has God actually entrusted to me now? Then tends it faithfully. Not every small thing becomes externally large. That is not the promise. But faithfulness is never wasted simply because the audience remains small. Don't despise what God may be building quietly.
Declare It Today
“I will not despise small beginnings. I will be faithful with what God has placed in my hands today without measuring its value by immediate size or recognition.”
Let's Pray
Lord, free me from comparison and impatience. Give me diligence with the small responsibilities and beginnings You have entrusted to me. Amen.
