The Borrower Is Servant to the Lender

Day 311

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

Proverbs 22:7

Pause & Reflect

“The borrower is servant to the lender.” Scripture recognises that debt creates obligation. Not every form of borrowing is identical, and financial circumstances can be complex. But debt should never be treated casually. Before borrowing, understand: The interest. The repayment. The consequences. The effect on future choices. If you already carry significant debt, shame will not repay it. Bring the situation into the light. Seek appropriate advice. Create a realistic plan. Reduce unnecessary borrowing. Make progress steadily. Financial freedom often grows through many ordinary disciplined decisions.

Declare It Today

“I will treat debt seriously without allowing financial mistakes to define me. I choose wisdom, honesty and steady progress.”

Let's Pray

Father, give me wisdom concerning debt and financial obligations. Help me face reality without fear and make responsible decisions toward greater freedom. Amen.
