Pause & Reflect
Hagar was caught in a painful situation shaped by the decisions and power of others. She fled into the wilderness. There, God met her. She responded by calling Him: “the God who sees me.” Hagar's story matters because Scripture does not reserve divine attention for the socially powerful. God saw an Egyptian servant woman in distress. The overlooked woman was not overlooked by Him. You may know what it feels like to occupy the less powerful position in a situation. To have people discuss your life without hearing your voice. To carry pain created by other people's decisions. Hagar reminds us that God's sight reaches where human attention does not. Being seen does not mean every complication vanishes immediately. But it means you are not invisible within it.

“God sees me completely. I am not invisible in difficult or unequal circumstances. He knows my story and meets me with His presence.”
Let's Pray
God who sees, meet me in the places where I feel overlooked or powerless. Give me wisdom for the situation I am in and confidence that my life is fully visible to You. Amen.
