Pause & Reflect
Sarah's story includes both faith and struggle. She waited years for a promise that seemed increasingly impossible. At times she doubted. At times human attempts to control the outcome created pain. Yet Hebrews remembers her within the story of faith. That is encouraging. God's work in a person is not cancelled because her journey contains imperfect moments. Waiting often exposes the places where we want to take control. Sarah's story asks: Will I trust God when His timetable exceeds mine? Waiting does not mean doing nothing. It means refusing to manufacture fulfilment through disobedience. There may be something you deeply desire and cannot make happen. Bring the longing honestly to God. Then resist the temptation to compromise simply because waiting feels unbearable.
Declare It Today
“I will trust God while I wait. My impatience does not need to become my guide. I can bring Him my longing without taking control through disobedience.”
Let's Pray
Father, You know the desires I have carried for a long time. Give me patience where waiting feels painful and wisdom to recognise any attempt to force what belongs in Your hands. Amen.
