The Light of the World

Jesus said: “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.” Light reveals. It shows what is true, exposes what has been hidden and helps us see where we are going. Following Jesus therefore means allowing His light to reach every part of life. Our choices. Relationships. Motives. Private habits. Ambitions. The areas we would rather keep unexamined. We sometimes want guidance from Jesus without wanting exposure. But the Light who shows us the path also reveals what needs to change. That is grace. Christ does not expose darkness merely to shame us. He exposes it so we can walk in truth and freedom. When you are uncertain, come to the Light. When sin is hidden, come to the Light. When the voices around you contradict one another, come to the Light. Jesus does not merely point toward truth. He is the Light.
