Pause & Reflect
“We will all be changed.” Paul describes mortality putting on immortality. What is perishable becomes imperishable. Christian hope includes the body. God does not discard His creation and abandon physical existence as a mistake. He redeems. Bodies currently affected by ageing, disability, disease, weakness and death will not remain in their present condition forever. Resurrection means God's victory reaches even into human mortality. Then the promise will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
Declare It Today
“My mortal condition is temporary. Through Christ, I look forward to resurrection and the final defeat of death.”
Let's Pray
Father, thank You that Your salvation reaches even into death and bodily decay. Strengthen everyone carrying physical weakness with resurrection hope. Amen.
