When Trouble Comes

Day 335

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

John 16:33

Read Scripture in Context →

Pause & Reflect

Jesus said: “In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.” Christianity does not promise a trouble-free life. Jesus is remarkably honest. There will be difficulty. Disappointment. Opposition. Loss. Uncertainty. The presence of trouble is therefore not automatic evidence that you are outside God’s will. Jesus gives us something greater than the promise of permanent comfort: He has overcome the world. Your peace is not rooted in the absence of trouble but in the victory and presence of Christ. Some trouble requires action. Some requires endurance. Some requires leaving a harmful situation. Some requires waiting. But none requires believing that trouble is ultimately Lord. Jesus is.

Declare It Today

“Trouble does not have final authority over my life. Jesus Christ has overcome the world, and I will anchor my peace in Him.”

Let's Pray

Jesus, meet me in the difficulties I face. Give me wisdom for what requires action, endurance for what must be carried and peace rooted in Your victory. Amen.
