Pause & Reflect
“When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned.” Notice Scripture says when, not if. God’s promise is not that His people never encounter waters or fire. It is: “I will be with you.” We naturally want God to keep every difficult circumstance away. Sometimes He does. Other times His faithfulness is displayed by carrying us through what we would never have chosen. The fire may change you. It may expose what matters. Strip away false security. Deepen compassion. Teach dependence. But do not assume every painful event has a simple explanation. What you can know is this: God does not abandon His people inside difficulty.
Declare It Today
“God is with me in the waters and in the fire. I will not interpret hardship as automatic evidence of His absence.”
Let's Pray
Father, make Your presence my confidence in difficult seasons. Carry me through what I cannot avoid and keep suffering from destroying my trust in You. Amen.
