Pause & Reflect
Joshua declared: “As for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh.” This was more than wall décor. It was a declaration of allegiance. Every home develops a culture. Something becomes important there. Achievement. Appearance. Money. Entertainment. Education. Status. Comfort. Or increasingly—Christ. A Christ-centred home is not one where everyone behaves perfectly. It is one where God's truth has genuine authority. Prayer is normal. Repentance is possible. Forgiveness is practised. Love is visible. Scripture shapes decisions. And Jesus is more than a Sunday addition. You cannot control every person's relationship with God. But you can determine what you personally will honour. Joshua's declaration begins: “As for me...” Start there.
Declare It Today
“As for me, I will serve the Lord. I desire my home to become a place where Christ is honoured through truth, prayer, love, repentance and faithful living.”
Let's Pray
Father, establish Your presence and truth within my home. Begin with me. Show me anything in my attitudes or habits that contradicts the atmosphere I am praying for. Amen.
