The New Testament gives us a remarkable picture of women participating in the growth of the early church. Lydia responded to the gospel and opened her home, which became important to the emerging Christian community in Philippi. Priscilla, alongside Aquila, helped Apollos understand the way of God more accurately. Phoebe is commended by Paul to the Roman believers as a servant of the church and a benefactor of many. Lois and Eunice cultivated sincere faith across generations, profoundly shaping Timothy. Different women. Different assignments. Business. Hospitality. Teaching. Service. Generosity. Discipleship. Family influence. The Kingdom does not require every woman to have the same role. It calls every believer to faithful stewardship. Do not waste time trying to become somebody else's kind of useful. Ask: “How has God equipped me to participate faithfully in His mission?” Then serve.

“There is a place for my gifts in God's mission. I will not compare my assignment with another woman's; I will faithfully use what God has entrusted to me to strengthen His Kingdom.”

Father, thank You for the women throughout Scripture who served Your purposes in different ways. Show me how my gifts, experience, resources and relationships can strengthen Your work. Next — Movement 9: Jesus — Knowing Him More Deeply For Days 244–273, we can return completely to Jesus: His character, names, compassion, authority, teachings, prayer life, miracles, relationships, servant leadership, holiness, obedience, suffering, cross, resurrection, ascension, intercession, lordship and promised return. This is important structurally too: the 365-day journey should never allow the woman's growth, purpose, family or ministry to become the centre. Jesus remains the centre.
