Be Rich in Good Works

Day 332

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

1 Timothy 6:17–19

Read Scripture in Context →

Pause & Reflect

Paul tells wealthy believers not to be arrogant or place hope in uncertain riches. Then he gives them an alternative ambition: “Be rich in good works.” What if this became our definition of wealth? Rich in generosity. Rich in kindness. Rich in hospitality. Rich in service. Rich in investment in people. Scripture does not tell these believers that enjoying God's provision is inherently wrong. Paul says God richly provides things for our enjoyment. The issue is whether enjoyment becomes worship and possession becomes identity. Enjoy gratefully. Give generously. Hope eternally.

Declare It Today

“My hope is not in uncertain wealth. I desire to become rich in good works, generosity and eternal investment.”

Let's Pray

Father, if You entrust increase to me, increase my generosity with it. Keep my hope firmly rooted in You. Amen.
