Pause & Reflect
“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Jesus connects money and heart. We often think spending follows our priorities. Jesus suggests something else happens too: Our hearts follow our treasure. Invest repeatedly in something and affection tends to grow around it. That makes generosity spiritually formative. Giving toward God's work can train your heart toward the Kingdom. Helping people can loosen materialism. Living below your maximum consumption can create room for eternal investment. Earthly possessions are temporary. Use temporary resources with eternal perspective.
Declare It Today
“I will invest in what has eternal value. I want my resources and my heart increasingly oriented toward God's Kingdom.”
Let's Pray
Father, show me where my treasure reveals misplaced priorities. Teach me to invest in what lasts. Amen.
