Consider the Field

Day 198

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

Proverbs 31:16

Read Scripture in Context →

Pause & Reflect

“She considers a field, and buys it. With the fruit of her hands, she plants a vineyard.” This woman is economically active. She considers before she purchases. She evaluates. Decides. Invests. Produces. That word considers matters. Biblical enterprise is not reckless ambition. Wisdom comes before investment. The passage also challenges the idea that business, property ownership or commercial activity is somehow incompatible with godly womanhood. This woman fears the Lord—and she conducts business. Money is not her god. Enterprise is not her identity. But economic wisdom is part of her stewardship. Whether you run a company, develop a career, manage household resources, invest, create products or are simply learning financial wisdom, the principle applies: consider before committing. Research. Count the cost. Seek wisdom. Understand risk. Pray. Then act decisively when appropriate.

Declare It Today

“I can pursue wise enterprise while remaining wholly devoted to God. I will consider carefully before committing resources and seek to build with wisdom, integrity and stewardship.”

Let's Pray

Father, give me wisdom concerning business, money and opportunity. Protect me from fear, greed and impulsiveness. Teach me to evaluate carefully and steward resources faithfully. Amen.
