Pause & Reflect
“Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings.” Prayer and diligence belong together. There are doors we ask God to open while He is asking us to prepare for them. Diligence means doing necessary work consistently. Learning. Practising. Following through. Meeting commitments. Correcting mistakes. Improving. Diligence is not frantic activity. Nor is it obsession with achievement. It is disciplined stewardship. Opportunity without preparation can become overwhelming. Preparation without opportunity can feel frustrating. Trust God with the door. Take responsibility for becoming increasingly ready to walk through it.
Declare It Today
“I will combine prayer with diligent preparation. I trust God with opportunities while taking responsibility for developing the capacity to steward them.”
Let's Pray
Father, make me diligent without making me driven. Teach me to prepare faithfully and trust You with timing, promotion and opportunity. Amen.
