Pause & Reflect
“Who despises the day of small things?” We love finished stories. The thriving ministry. Successful company. Published book. Established career. Strong marriage. Large community. But most meaningful things begin smaller than their eventual form. A conversation. A first customer. A small prayer meeting. A page of writing. One person helped. One faithful decision. Small does not mean insignificant. The danger is despising what God is beginning because it does not yet resemble what you imagined. Do not force premature enlargement. Build foundations. Learn. Correct mistakes while they are still inexpensive. Become faithful at the size you are now. God is perfectly capable of bringing increase when increase serves His purposes.
Declare It Today
“I will not despise small beginnings. I choose to honour the season of preparation and faithfully build what God has placed before me.”
Let's Pray
Father, give me patience with beginnings. Protect me from comparison and premature ambition, and teach me to build strong foundations before seeking enlargement. Amen.
