Faith on the Other Side of Your Past

Day 221

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

Joshua 2:8–14

Read Scripture in Context →

Pause & Reflect

Rahab's past did not prevent her from responding to God in faith. She had heard what the Lord had done and came to believe: “Yahweh your God, he is God in heaven above, and on earth beneath.” Her faith moved into action. Rahab's story reminds us that God is not limited to using people with tidy histories. Your past may contain decisions you regret. Seasons you would never want repeated. Labels people still attach to you. But grace can write a future that does not simply repeat the past. Redemption does not make history unreal. It means history does not possess final authority. Rahab eventually appears within the genealogy of Jesus. God's grace reaches astonishing places.

Declare It Today

“My past does not have final authority over my future in God. By faith, I can walk forward in obedience and allow grace to redefine my story.”

Let's Pray

Father, thank You that Your grace reaches beyond human labels and past failure. Help me repent where necessary, receive Your mercy and walk faithfully into the future You give me. Amen.
