Faithfulness is easier when enthusiasm is high. The greater challenge is remaining faithful over time. Through disappointment. Through routine. Through changing seasons. Through unanswered questions. Through opposition. The believers addressed in Revelation faced far more than inconvenience. They were called to remain faithful even under severe suffering. Their example reminds us that Christianity is not merely about beginning well. It is about continuing with Christ. You may not feel the excitement you felt when you first began an assignment. That does not necessarily mean the assignment is finished. Sometimes maturity looks like continuing after novelty disappears. Ask God for grace not merely for a powerful beginning, but for a faithful finish.
