Pause & Reflect
Paul says each person should give: “As he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion.” Generosity can be planned. You do not need to wait until spontaneous emotion arrives. Consider what you can give. Decide prayerfully. Build generosity into your financial life. And notice what Paul rejects: Compulsion. Christian giving should not depend upon manipulation, shame or spiritual threats. God desires willing hearts. Generosity becomes worship when love rather than coercion drives it.

“I will practise intentional and willing generosity. I reject both greed and manipulative approaches to giving.”
Let's Pray
Father, make generosity an intentional part of my life. Teach me to give willingly, wisely and joyfully. Amen.
