Pause & Reflect
Jesus places remarkable importance on reconciliation. If you remember that another person has something against you, He says: “First be reconciled.” Sometimes we pray fervently about relational problems while avoiding the conversation God is asking us to have. Perhaps you need to apologise. Clarify. Confess. Listen. Ask forgiveness. Reconciliation requires initiative. But reconciliation is not always possible. It requires more than one willing person. And in unsafe situations, direct contact may be unwise. The principle remains: Do not allow pride to preserve a conflict you could responsibly address. If there is something genuinely yours to repair, take the first faithful step.
Declare It Today
“Where reconciliation is appropriate and possible, I will not allow pride to stop me from taking responsibility and pursuing peace.”
Let's Pray
Father, show me whether there is someone I need to approach. Give me humility to apologise without excuses, courage to speak truth and wisdom concerning when reconciliation is genuinely safe and possible. Amen.
