Pause & Reflect
“The heart of man plans his way, but Yahweh directs his steps.” Scripture does not condemn planning. Wisdom plans. Budgets. Prepares. Sets goals. Counts costs. But godly planning keeps an open hand. We can become so attached to our preferred timeline that any interruption feels like failure. A surrendered plan says: “Lord, this is what I believe is wise with what I currently know. Direct me.” That posture leaves room for correction. New information. Closed doors. Unexpected opportunities. Changed seasons. Planning and dependence belong together. Make the plan. Do the work. And remain interruptible by God.
Declare It Today
“I will plan wisely without pretending I control the future. I commit my plans to God and remain willing for Him to redirect my steps.”
Let's Pray
Father, give me wisdom to plan responsibly and humility to remain flexible. Direct my steps and close any path that would move me away from Your purposes. Amen.
