Pause & Reflect
In Jesus' parable, servants receive different amounts to steward. The amounts differ. The responsibility remains. Comparison can distract us from stewardship. We look at another woman's resources, platform, opportunities, family, gifts or influence and conclude ours are too small to matter. But God does not ask you to steward her assignment. What is in your hands? Time. Skills. Relationships. Money. Experience. Education. A home. A business idea. A voice. An opportunity. A story. Stewardship begins there. Faithfulness does not require equal resources. It requires faithful handling of what has actually been entrusted.
Declare It Today
“I will not waste my assignment through comparison. I choose to steward faithfully the time, gifts, resources and opportunities God has placed in my hands.”
Let's Pray
Father, show me what I have overlooked because I was comparing myself with others. Teach me to recognise, develop and faithfully use what You have entrusted to me. Amen.
