Paul describes genuine Christian love practically: “Contributing to the needs of the saints; given to hospitality.” Church community should include practical care. Someone loses employment. A new mother needs meals. A student needs support. A bereaved family needs presence. An elderly believer needs transport. A woman leaving a difficult situation needs practical help. Prayer matters deeply. Sometimes prayer should be accompanied by a grocery bag. Christian community becomes credible when love acquires hands and feet.
