Pause & Reflect
Paul does not say Christians do not grieve. He says we do not grieve as those who have no hope. Grief and hope can occupy the same heart. You can miss someone deeply. Cry. Remember. Feel the ache of absence. And still believe resurrection is coming. Christian hope should never be used to rush another person's grief. Jesus Himself wept. Hope does not erase love’s pain. It places grief within a larger story. Those who belong to Christ will not remain in the grave forever.
Declare It Today
“I can grieve deeply while hoping deeply. Because Jesus rose, death cannot permanently separate God’s people.”
Let's Pray
Father, comfort me concerning the people I miss. Let resurrection hope hold my grief without requiring me to deny it. Amen.
