Pause & Reflect
Jesus says plainly: “You can't serve both God and Mammon.” Money makes an excellent tool and a terrible god. It continually promises what it cannot ultimately provide. Absolute security. Permanent satisfaction. Control over tomorrow. Jesus does not tell us to become careless with finances. He tells us to recognise who is Lord. Sometimes allegiance becomes visible when obedience costs money. Will you remain honest when dishonesty is profitable? Generous when keeping everything feels safer? Content when comparison encourages spending? Your financial decisions can reveal what your mouth might never admit.
Declare It Today
“Jesus Christ is my Lord. Money will not occupy the place in my heart that belongs to God.”
Let's Pray
Jesus, reveal any place where financial security has become more important to me than obedience. Teach me to serve You with an undivided heart. Amen.
